A synthetic media has now accumulated much attention for its hands over celebrity pornographic videos, fake news, financial fraud. The technology used to create such digital content has quickly become accessible to the masses, and they are called “deep fakes.”

A person with a decent computer and access to the internet can create it. Once they have enough photos of targets, they can turn any video into a deep fake. The resulting fakes could be used to shame, harass, and intimidate their targets. Both industries and government have evoked their responses in restricting this.
Why are they created?
Humans are deceptive to fake contents on which forgers are taking advantage. The most targeted are the top celebrity women and politicians. Deep fake videos seen online are chiefly immoral.
Deep Nude, an AI-powered software that stripped clothes from women to render them naked simply by giving it a photo. Not only celebrity women but also normal women also face this risk.
Now that the project has been scrapped completely, the Deep Nude app can no longer be downloaded.
How they work?
Deep Learning is most applied technique in solving critical problems from Big data analytics to human-level control. It is also in the software which threatens privacy, democracy, and national security. One of such software is “Deep fake”.
How it can be detected?
Images: They are faked either by adding or removing contents making the human eyes to get formed in no time to get exposed. Most of the fraudulent images may have blunders such as fading, backdrop color and detected by Pairwise learning.
